WELCOME! Ever wanted to get away from it all? Do a spot of fishing? Doing nothing but listening to the silence? Take the boat for a spin to buy an ice-cream across the lake? Have a sauna followed by a dip in the lake and an ice cold beer? Relaxing on the decking, watching the sun go down across the lake? Our cottage in the middle of Sweden in the county of Varmland, might just be what you are looking for!! Our Sauna by the lake is the perfect place to unwind after a hard days golfing or swimming. A great place to watch the sun go down in the evening whilst sipping a glass of wine. The custom in Sweden is to have a sauna and then to have a dip in the lake. There are several golf courses nearby and there is a ski slope across the lake with snow canons and night-time skiing. If you fancy a bit more of a challenge, you can always drive to Sunne (30 mins drive). There is a great skiing complex there, Ski Sunne. They have lots of activities there in the summer too. Also in Sunne you can find The Selma Lagerlöf Spa. It is a fantastic spa, set in beautiful surroundings. Here you can go for a whole day of pampering. Give it a go! You won’t regret it! Still in Sunne, there are several beautiful parks and gardens there and a newly opened water park, rumoured to be the biggest one in Northern Europe! Karlstad is about 20 mins drive away and has lots of great restaurants and pubs. There is also a little mini zoo in Mariebergs skogen. Karlstad is a beautiful city well worth a visit. The beautiful cathedral in the middle of the city must be seen! If you fancy a bit of retail therapy there are loads of shops there and there is also a big shopping centre near by, Bergvik, it is on the way to Karlstad and has many shops with late opening.
